Rees Elementary and the legend of BURR

REES ELEMENTARY
History repeated

Rees Elementary was first established in 1904, and was located on 400 North. This school was actually a real, functioning school until 2004 (100 year gap), when they decided they would tear the school down. Many children were sad about this, but the school was just too dangerous to continue to educate the children. It was a huge earthquake hazard, and contained Asbestos and other dangerous insulation materials. It was officially announced that a NEW Rees would be built. But, fortunately the school wasn't torn down until 2018! In between that time, the school actually became a Charter school, and also a home for girls.

   (New Rees shown above)
The new Rees is currently still functional, and is supervised by principal Adam Gull. The new school is located down Rees Avenue.

THE LEGEND OF BURR.

Burr is told to be a ghostly spirit that haunts the school today. Rumor is that a kid name Mark Burr fell into a manhole and died. Today you can still look into the same manhole and see two eyes staring at you.

Approx Dec, 2014

A note is found by student Emmett Ford, and Molly Goodrich, It is reported that this note was written in blood, and it was too hard to read out properly. On that day, nearly half the school had rather misfortunes in their "Fortune cookies" for lunch. Some saying things like "You will not have a good day" and such.

Approx Dec, 2017

Students Emmett Ford, Boeden Seitzinger, and Jake Mooseman conduct an investigation on Burr, and discover several carvings in the playground, all reading "Burr". Nobody knows how these have got here, or who wrote them, but it appears that whoever does this, carves his/her name into the playground each year.

Approx Jan, 2018

The three students who conducted the investigation start filming a documentary about Burr, but all the footage is mysteriously deleted after losing the camera during a fire drill. They later find the camera, and most footage is deleted.

The three students also discover a mysterious dice with strange symbols on it. It is assumed to be a way to talk with Burr, whoever he is. The students then destroy the die, and hope Burr will never be heard of again, and that is how this story ends.

Present day-

Burr has never been heard of, or seen of again. We have asked the 2 remaining students on their thoughts of Burr. Here is what they said.

"Burr? That was like 2 years ago.I don't believe in Burr anymore. We found a piece of plastic with some weird things on it, but we melted it with the heat things. Go ask Boeden he knows more than I do." -Emmett Ford

"(No response)"-Boeden Seitzinger.

Well, now our school is back to normal, and we continue our everyday lives as usual. But remember the 4 kids who helped solve this mystery, and make sure to tell them that they should continue the investigation. Till' then, Goodbye.
